I’m taking part in the 99K For Canines with Dogs Trust Ireland!

I'll be taking on a challenge of walking 99 kilometres in a month to help stray and abandoned dogs and puppies. Every euro raised gives the gift of a second chance to our furry friends in Dogs Trust Ireland's care - thank you for your support!

The aim of Dogs Trust Ireland is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners. Since opening their Rehoming Centre in 2009, they have rescued and rehomed over 22,000 dogs. They rely on public support to fund their work and they are entirely reliant on the generosity of amazing people to continue our life-saving work. Every single donation raised provides each dog that comes into their care with nutritious food, veterinary treatment, a microchip, vaccinations and most importantly, love and cuddles from their canine carers and a forever home.

Kick off!

As I kick off the 99k for Canines Challenge in July and cross off my first 5k, I want to share why I’ve decided to take on this challenge. Dogs have always had my heart - since I was born until now, I’ve always been surrounded by them. Having rescued multiple dogs with my family and working with challenging dogs as well, I can attest that dogs have a kind and pure heart. There’s no better word than “human’s best friend”. Giving back and supporting organisations that care and love for displaced dogs is the least I could do. By taking on this challenge, every euro raised will go towards essential needs for the dogs and help them live a better life. Even a small donation can make a huge difference and is greatly appreciated. This 99k challenge will help me raise awareness outside in nature, while also collecting donations for an amazing organisation that can make a huge impact. Thank you for your support!
