I’m taking part in the 99K For Canines with Dogs Trust Ireland!
I'll be taking on a challenge of walking 99 kilometres in a month to help stray and abandoned dogs and puppies. Every euro raised gives the gift of a second chance to our furry friends in Dogs Trust Ireland's care - thank you for your support!
The aim of Dogs Trust Ireland is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners. Since opening their Rehoming Centre in 2009, they have rescued and rehomed over 22,000 dogs. They rely on public support to fund their work and they are entirely reliant on the generosity of amazing people to continue our life-saving work. Every single donation raised provides each dog that comes into their care with nutritious food, veterinary treatment, a microchip, vaccinations and most importantly, love and cuddles from their canine carers and a forever home.

99K!!!!
Saturday 26th Jul Final week so had to make it count! I had fallen off track a bit last week but this week I was out with Frøya and Rogue a lot more and also with friends and family. 32km this week which is the most I've walked in a week during this challenge and puts me well past 99k! I'm happy I did this I love that I can use me trying to be a bit more active can help dogs in need. We also got Frøya and Rogue's bandanas for meeting the fundraiser goal!!! Share

Monday 21st Jul Not a great week all in all. 20.78km and I forgot to wear my watch twice so I'm missing kilometres too. Still had another week down ! 70.81 km so far! Share

Sunday 13th Jul The heat this week was definitely an enemy to progress! Still 23.32km done, which means at halfway through the month I'm at 50.3km. Yay! Share
