In our busy lives, it is all too easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, sometimes forgetting to pause and reflect on the moments that truly matter. The Big Paws, brought to you by Dogs Trust Ireland, serves as a reminder to take the time and space to 'paws' and remember the dogs who have touched our lives.It is a chance for us to acknowledge and celebrate the significance of our furry companions, both past and present.

The Big Paws is an opportunity to honour and celebrate the indelible mark our dogs leave in our lives, and to help raise vital funds in our work caring for dogs across Ireland.

Our Jessie

Wednesday 9th Sep
Our black lab was our baby for the last 16 years. She’d been there for all of the kids births, our wedding and was the perfect companion to help us set up home. 
She was a crazy dog who at one point literally ate the wall paper off our wall and she wasn’t even a puppy at that point, she was just mad! 
We never thought we would be without her, it felt like she was always there and always would be. But as with every thing, all good things come to an end. 
We lost our “jetski” last year after a very short infection which left us with the awful choice but humane thing to do and that was to send her to doggy heaven. 
The whole family was devastated, and my wife and I swore we would never get another dog after Jessie, inevitably she left a massive whole in our lives. 
We decided to get a new little puppy, Lola and while she will never replace Jessie, we needed another dog in our home. We miss you Jessie!
