I'm taking part in the Big Paws, brought to you by Dogs Trust Ireland
In our busy lives, it is all too easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, sometimes forgetting to pause and reflect on the moments that truly matter. The Big Paws, brought to you by Dogs Trust Ireland, serves as a reminder to take the time and space to 'paws' and remember the dogs who have touched our lives. This will be a unique event that invites us to acknowledge and celebrate the significance of our furry companions, both past and present.
This magical event is an opportunity to honour and celebrate the indelible mark our dogs leave in our lives, and to help raise vital funds in our work caring for dogs across Ireland.

Big Paws for my Little Dog, Alfie
Saturday 10th JanThey say that dogs leave paw prints on your heart, and Alfie certainly left the biggest ones on mine.
Participating in the Big Paws walk, covering Alfie’s favourite route, is my way of saying "thank you" to Alfie for all the memories. It’s also a way to support the vital work Dogs Trust does every day. No dog should have to go without a warm bed or a loving hand, and the funds raised through this event help make that a reality.
Alfie would have loved another long walk like this, stopping at the pet shop and going behind the counter for a treat, having a big drink of water when he got home, some spaghetti bolognaise for dinner and finishing the day with a chunk of purple snack bar.
I’ll be thinking of him every step of the way. Thank you for your support and for keeping Alfie’s memory alive with me.
