I'm taking part in the Big Paws, brought to you by Dogs Trust Ireland

In our busy lives, it is all too easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, sometimes forgetting to pause and reflect on the moments that truly matter. The Big Paws, brought to you by Dogs Trust Ireland, serves as a reminder to take the time and space to 'paws' and remember the dogs who have touched our lives. It is a chance for us to acknowledge and celebrate the significance of our furry companions, both past and present.

The Big Paws is an opportunity to honour and celebrate the indelible mark our dogs leave in our lives, and to help raise vital funds in our work caring for dogs across Ireland.

Losing Frankie, my Covid-Partner Shih Tzu

Saturday 31st Jan
Frankie was a rescue dog. He had a heart problem, but love and medication kept him alive for six years. I rescued him when he was ten, and all through Covid, he was my TV buddy, and we went on long walks in the early morning, when no one else was outside. Frankie was like a family member, and when he died last year, I was devastated. I now have another senior rescue, since we always have enough love for a senior dog in our family. But I will never forget my Frankie --
